LWV General Meeting with Rachel Newman, Title IX

How much have you heard about the protection from Sex-Based Discrimination called Title IX? On April 9 the League of Women Voters of Citrus County will have Rachel Newman as our guest speaker. Rachel is a Behavioral Health Technician for SMA Healthcare and a National Policy and Grassroods Organizer for Title IX. She will outline the currect state of Title IZ policy, explain how our vote is conntected to Title IX's makeup and implementation, and provide ways in which we can take action to support school survivors of gender-based violence and discrimination when Title IX policy becomes non-survitor oriented.
